While home brewing can be new and unfamiliar, you can quickly grow into it and when that happens, you are well on your way tp creating signature brews of your liking.

The trick is to approach brewing for the first time with curiosity and an open mind. Nothing is wrong when you are just starting out. That said, try a cold brew and record your results. Some people add a some alcohol to their cold brew where convenient. If alcohol is your vibe, give it a go with your cold brew.

Cold brew coffee is smooth, less acidic, and perfect for hot weather. It’s also easy to make in large batches and store in the fridge.

Step-by-Step Cold Brew Process

  • Coarsely grind your coffee beans.
  • Combine the coffee with cold water in a 1:8 ratio.
  • Steep the mixture in the fridge for 12-24 hours.
  • Strain the coffee through a fine mesh or coffee filter.

Creative Serving Ideas

  • Serve over ice with a splash of milk or cream.
  • Add flavoured syrups or spices for a unique twist (you may also add your alcoholic beverage if that’s your vibe)
